The 2026 spring season at Ravenscroft is coming to an end, which means there are only a few shows left to watch incredible jazz in the Valley! This June, experience outstanding performances at Scottsdale’s premier venue from local legends to rising young talent and everything in between.

Jazzbird Nights – Live Every Friday & Select Saturdays
- Brooke Leigh Davis (June 5 @ 7pm): Expect an intimate and heartfelt evening rooted in rich musical legacy that weaves together beloved jazz standard with touches of blues inspired by shared theatrical experiences.
- Francine Reed (June 12 @ 7pm): An unforgettable night of powerhouse vocals and timeless tunes as this local legend makes her return to the Jazzbird. Known as “The Queen of the Blues,” Francine brings her signature soul, sass, and show-stopping presence to the stage.
- Mikailo Kasha Quartet (June 19 @ 7pm): Mikailo Kasha is an award-winning bassist, composer, and bandleader, currently considered to be among “the top 1% of bassists worldwide."
- Sugar Thieves (June 26 @ 7pm): Based in Phoenix and performing worldwide since 2006, this dynamic group brings a powerful blend of American roots music, fusing blues, country, folk, gospel, rock, and jazz into an electrifying live experience.
Special Events
- Valley Jazz Cooperative Alumni Band Summer Celebration (June 27 @7pm): The VJC’s 10th Anniversary Season concludes with a Summer Celebration featuring two different big bands composed of talented young musicians who participated in the VJC program during their high school years. These exceptionally gifted alumni reconnect each May and June, making time to create music together once more. This year marks the fifth summer of VJC Alumni Band activities.
Jazz for the Soul – Free Show
- Mike Vax (June 28 @ 6pm): Get ready for a fantastic show with the consummate trumpet player, Mike Vax, who has played dead and solo trumpet with the Stan Kenton Orchestra, the Clark Terry Big Bad Band, and the U.S. Navy Show Band. All donations received will benefit a local charity.
Ravenscroft’s Stars, Stripes & Swing! An Independence Day Celebration
This one-of-a-kind Independence Day celebration goes far beyond the concert stage. Guests can enjoy an evening filled with festive outdoor games, gourmet burgers and hot dogs, signature drinks at the bar, and classic apple pie, capturing the spirit of an all-American summer celebration. The night culminates in a spectacular big band performance led by Angelo Versace, featuring beloved selections from the Great American Songbook alongside patriotic favorites that are sure to inspire and entertain.
