Explore the rainforest in the largest butterfly conservatory in the country right here in Arizona!

Butterfly Wonderland transports guests of all ages to the rainforest by immersing them in the world of butterflies and other rainforest animals.  Learn about Monarch migration in a captivating 3D movie, observe live chrysalis as they emerge naturally into beautiful butterflies, spend ample time strolling through the conservatory with the butterflies, get up close to unique reptiles that inhabit rainforests across the world, and even indulge in edible insects!

The largest aquarium in the southwest, OdySea Aquarium takes guests on an entertaining and educational oceanic adventure like no other. Voted Best Family Entertainment multiple years in a row, the state-of-the-art facility features an amazing array of animals including sharks, otters, sea lions, penguins, sea turtles, sloths, and more. OdySea Aquarium will quickly become part of your “must see” list of things to do in Scottsdale with immersive experiences like SeaTREK® underwater ocean walking, four different touch exhibits, a giant submerged escalator that descends into the deep ocean, and the world’s only rotating aquarium, OdySea Voyager.

This year’s camp is all about finding out what it takes to creatively care for animals. Campers will explore habitats, learn how animals survive and thrive and learn about the many ways zoos create habitats for animals.

All campers will meet animals up close, play in our splash pads, and have opportunities to collaborate with other campers through different activities each day. Campers will also tackle design challenges related to their theme, incorporating STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) principles and going through the design process. They’ll use what they learn about the animals to create real-world solutions and top off the week presenting their design.

Due to high temperatures in the summer, at least half of the camp day is spent indoors, with opportunities to expand indoor time as temperatures rise.
